Dr.Hemkant Shivajirao Baviskar is a founder of Netrayu Hospital which was established in 1996 in Jalgaon District of Maharashtra. He is known for his way of Eye Treatment through Ayurveda. As an Ayurvedic doctor he is well known for his simple and easy language of Ayurveda which is understandable to all. He started his journey in Ayurveda with his basic graduation (B.A.M.S) that is bachelor in Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery from Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyala, Pune University from State of Maharashtra. Further He did his M.S. education that is Master in Surgeon from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune from State of Maharashtra. He is honored “VAIDYA BAPURAO PATVARDHAN SUSHRUT PURASKAR” in 2005 given by Vaidya Khadiwale Vaidyak Sanshodhan Sanstha, Pune and many other awards for his extreme and innovative work in Ayurvedic Treatment on Eye Disease.
He arranges Eye Check Up Camps every year for Poor people in remote areas and villages to provide the medical facilities. He also delivers lectures in schools and colleges of Pune and Mumbai and other cities on Eye Diseases and Treatment through Ayurvedic Medicine. He attended the International Conference on Salakya Tantra at Sri Lanka and also presented a paper on ‘Regaining Visual Fields in a case of POAG : An Integrative Approach’ in “SALAKYA SANDIPANI, 2017.” He also attended the program arranged by International Ayurveda Congress on ‘Ayurveda for Global Health’ at Netherlands and organized by International Maharishi Ayurveda Foundation, Netherlands. He is a member of National Academy of Panchakarma & Research (NAPAR), National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA), Ayurved Prasarak Mandal, Jalgaon (Maharashtra).
