Digital Eye Lab

Netrayu Hospital have digital eye lab that would be able to stay ahead on digital technology in eye caring services As a fully automated digital laboratory in India.

Many eye problems can develop without warning and progress with no symptoms. Early on, you might not notice any change in your vision. However, diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments, central retinal vein or artery occlusion, optic strokes, as well as other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure, can be detected with a through retinal examination of the following advance equipment's.

Visual Field Analyzer (with Liquid Lens Technology)

  • Used to detect any sign of glaucoma damage to optic nerve.
  • Used to measure an Individual's Central and Peripheral (Side) Vision.
  • Used to detection of Central and Peripheral retinal disease.
  • Used to check the eyelid conditions such as ptosis or drooping of the eyelid, optic nerve disease, and diseases affecting the perimeter, visual pathways with brain.
  • Used to find the visual field abnormalities.
  • Location of the Stroke and tumor in the brain can frequently be determined by the size, shape and site of the visual field defect.
  • Visual Field Testing will become routine part of your treatment if you are diagnosed with a particular disorder of disease such as glaucoma and Visual Field Testing is repeated every 6 to 12 months to monitor for change.

Topography Keratography Diagnostic Equipment

  • Used to measure the surface of the cornea and quality of One's vision.
  • Keratographer is a non-invasive medical imaging technique that maps the surface curvature of the cornea.
  • 3D map produced by the Keratographer aids the doctor in the diagnosing, monitoring and treatment of various visual conditions.
  • Used to detect the corneal disease such as Keratoconus (Progressive steepening of the cornea), Corneal Deformities, Corneal Scars or Opacities and fitting of Contact Lenses.
  • Used for pre-operative measurements for Lasik and PRK Surgeries as well as post-operative measurements from Cataract removal.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

  • Used for imaging the retina
  • It has the ability to detect problems in the eye prior to any symptoms being present in the patient.
  • Used to see a cross section or 3D image of the retina and detect the early onset of a variety of eye conditions and eye diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopahty.
  • It also helps for detection of other diseases such as macular holes, hypertensive retinopathy and even optic nerve damage.
  • Using an OCT allows for early treatment in patients and dramatically improves the success of these treatments, especially in diseases such as wet macular degeneration, where the eye disease progresses rapidly.

Digital Retinal Photography

  • A scan to confirm a healthy eye or detect the presence of disease.
  • An overview or map of the retina, giving your eye doctor a more detailed view than he can achieve by other means.
  • The opportunity for you to view and discuss the images of your eye with your doctor at the time of your examination.
  • We recommend that all our patients receive this test. It is especially important for patients with a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, retinal diseases, and flashes of light, floaters, headaches and those with a strong glass prescription.

Non-Contact Tonometer

  • Used to measurement of intraocular pressures in eyes
  • Soft air-puff ensures accurate and guarantees measurement results
  • This machine is able to calculate adjusted intro ocular pressure based o pachymetry values manually.

  • This is a computerised lensmeter which measures all types of lenses, including progressive lenses.
  • Contact lenses can easily and comfortably be measured.
  • Provide reliable measurement results for eyeglasses and sunglasses.

Vision tester

  • This machine is automated phoropter, sets quality standards.
  • Fast Lens rotation provides comfort for user and patient.
  • Equipped with large colour LCD touch screen display, providing the best overview on refraction results.

Auto Refractor-Keratometers

The KR/RM-800 features a bright, new 8.5 inch color touch screen panel to control the main  functions and an improved joystick operation due to a 23% reduction in weight from the previous models. Topcon systems have been renowned for their accuracy due to the proven Rotary Prism Technology. These new units feature this technology as well, so you take confidence, that accurate and stable measurements will be the norm.

Contributed to a smoother operation of the unit when using the X-Y control lever. This all contributes to a more fluid measuring process and a more accurate end result.

Slit Lamp

The slit lamp is an instrument consisting of a high-intensity light source that can be focused to shine a thin sheet of light into the eye. It is used in conjunction with a biomicroscope. The lamp facilitates an examination of the anterior segment and posterior segment of the human eye, which includes the eyelid, sclera, conjunctiva, iris, natural crystalline lens, and cornea. The binocular slit-lamp examination provides a stereoscopic magnified view of the eye structures in detail, enabling anatomical diagnoses to be made for a variety of eye conditions. A second, hand-held lens is used to examine the retina.
